Aviatik racer scale model Oct 14, 2005 This construction of this scale model of the first Belgian military aircraft was started by Raoul Dedonckers. Unfortunetly, Raoul cannot complete the model before he passed. Thanks to Dédé, the uncompleted model was given to the Museum. Marc Wauters put together all the parts already finished by Raoul. The engine was completed as well as the cockpit parts. Pierre Sanglier build the missing propeller. The model in nearly finished in April 2007. It is planned to install the Aviatik racer model ... Douglas A26 B Invader engines restoration Apr 21, 2007 In 2005, the two engines of the Invader were laid down for restoration for static display. It means corrosion was cleaned and coats of protection were applied. But the engine was not maintained for fllight.From April, 21th, the team prepare to install back the first restored engine.
